Safran partners the Paris Air Forum
Organized by La Tribune and Aéroports de Paris, the Paris Air Forum is an annual event during which manufacturers, entrepreneurs and engineers get together with decision-makers and politicians to discuss the key issues being faced by the aeronautics sector.
The 2015 edition, which took place under the patronage of the French President and in the presence of Jean-Yves Le Drian, French Minister of Defense, was placed under the theme of co-production and co-development. The day was punctuated by a series of talks on topics such as reducing CO2 emissions, the launcher and satellite market, cybersecurity, the factory of the future, or air transport safety.
Philippe Petitcolin, CEO of Safran, participated in the talk entitled "Are technology transfers the future of aerodefense?" accompanied by Patrice Caine, President and CEO of Thales, and Laurent Collet-Billon, General Delegate for Armaments at the Ministry of Defense. Andriès Olivier, CEO of Snecma and former Chairman and CEO of Turbomeca, spoke on the theme "How can the helicopter market be revitalized?"
Jean-Paul Ebanga, president and CEO of CFM International*, participated in a talk on "What are the challenges to the globalization of the supply chain?"
The day was brought to a close by Emeric d'Arcimoles, Chairman of the Paris Air Show and advisor to Safran Executive Management, along with Max Armanet, Director of the Paris Air Forum, Augustin de Romanet, Chairman and CEO of Aéroports de Paris, and Jean-Christophe Tortora, President of La Tribune.
